Out of interest, how did everyone here find their club? I originally started out doing Chow Gar Kung Fu when I was 11, but I don’t remember exactly how, when or why I started, but I remember the first time I “did” Karate – I had been doing Kung Fu for around 4 years and A friend wanted me to go along with him to a local sports hall as he wanted to start Karate and because I knew Martial Arts thought I would be a good person to get advice from. I went along with my friend and after about 2 lessons decided that I preferred Karate to Kung Fu and stopped Kung Fu. I trained at this club for around 5 years, but then due to personal reasons I had to stop training and always vowed to restart when things improved Fast Forward 12 years to my present club!!!! I normally took my kids swimming at the local leisure centre on a Monday, but on this particular day I took them on a Wednesday and on the way out of the changing rooms I happened to notice a group of people in GI’s in the sports hall so I popped my head round the door and recognised a few of the people training – It turned out to be my old Karate instructor – I started back training the following week!

Out of interest, how did everyone here find their club? I called my best friend back in 1975 and asked if he wanted to go have a few brews. He told me he was going to a new karate class that he had just joined, so I went along to watch. I joined, and he quit about a month later.
