It's cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey! Bit of trivia for you, regarding the origin of that phrase. A 'Brass Monkey' is a Naval term. It's the triangular base they used to stack cannonballs in a pyramid. They were made of wood sometimes, but latterly brass, which contracted when cold, causing the pyramid to spill, hence the phrase, 'cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey'. Not just a pretty face.

OOOy, it's snowing today. Anyone else got the white stuff? There are a lot of traffic works going on around where I live at the moment so I left for work even earlier (6.40am) and it was snowing quite heavily. Anyway as long as I don't get snowed into work I'm happy.
It's nearly Christmas ;D

It never snows in my corner of England; you can set off for a nice winter drive then end up in a blizzard. I see Angela’s neck of the woods has lots of snow, global warming, warms the cockles of a northerners heart. ;D

Rubbish article btw. Been on HMS Victory and seen em for myself. Not a plate as referred to in the link, but a frame. Doesn't matter though I suppose.

Not really, I just googled for a laugh and it came up contradictory. To be honest I have been out for dinner a few times recently in the cold spell and used your version which was received with nods of appreciation etc. Big up Random ;D

global warming, warms the cockles of a northerners heart. ;D Watch out Random, global warming (and therefore rising sea levels) is suppsed to turn Doncaster into a seaside town. Got your swimming trunks at the ready? ;D
