I'm still confused how come "bouncer" is meant to be gender specific.

"Bouncer" isn't - but the term is seen as more aggressive. "Doorman" is gender specific, which is why they tend to get called door personnel or door security etc.

Doorman is, bouncer just doesn't cut it any more, Door security covers the more extensive role that these men and women do, get over it. This isn't really anything to do with MA or this thread.

Can I just say that my mate kicked in 3 men bouncers and not girls. He wouldn't ever hit a girl. They wanted to throw him out because he stole a pack of cheese and onion crisps from behind the bar.
