One of the great mysteries of kata is that is from all appearance it is design for people of all the same size. I find this very odd. I suspect that somewhere it was there. Perhaps H1 was for short people. I'm curious here...where did you get this notion? I'm an Okinawan stylist, and as you know, the Okinawans are relatively short people (average adult male is around 5'4" tall). I'm 6'6" tall and have been doing this system for 30+ years without any difficulty in doing the kata (other than it takes a bit longer for me to move this bulk than it does a shorter person.)

Perhaps H1 was for short people. Hello my friend, I find you here as well! The kata will teach you the principles of different techniques, everyone needs to modify these to suit there own body type. For instance, the throw you mentioned earlier, you wouldn't use it against somone who was so much bigger than you that you couldn't lift them but you may be able to change it to a trip.
