You might also like to try "Bunkai Jutsu" also by Iain Abernethy. It is an excellent publication with some very interesting bunkai ideas. I recently attended the latest of Iain's Bridgwater seminars and it was outstanding. I shall also be atending the next one which is on Feb.25th and also in Bridgwater. Anyone else on this forum going? If not I will keep you informed as to how it went

My Karate Instructor, John Burke (searcher2 on this forum) has recently published his own book "Fortress Storming". It's a very indepth analysis of Bassai Dai. I've just about finished my own copy and I would highly recommend it to people interested in sensible analysis of applications within their kata. The book can be bought on the club website: www.karateacademy.co.uk/shop.htmThere's a little sampler of it as well, for those interested.

You may want to check out Vince Morris' 'Rules of combat' - not any bunkai but will give you the info that will help you with it.
Iain Abernethy, best book - Bunkai Jutsu.
HArry Cook has some DVDs out that are also worth a look. If you get the chance, train with the man, he is more knowledgeable than anyone I have met!

Gosh! I never realised that the members of this forum were such cheapskates, lol. ;D I am not in a position to offer any discounts, that's not my decision to make. However I assure you that it's worth the asking price (AndyM has a copy so would hopefully be able to verify this). There's also a DVD to accompany it now If anyone is going to SENI on the Sunday we could arrange to meet and then you wouldn't have to pay P&P.

Gosh! I never realised that the members of this forum were such cheapskates, lol. ;D Darn right I am!!! ;D I work for local government, they're very stingy with their wage packets. Anyway, the discount was just a joke. I've heard good things about this book, so I was planning to get a copy anyway.

I make up 10% of that on my own So that's 2% of the total workforce I think. Not bad. Not bad at all.
