Better reception? The dude got banned.... ...well yea, but not until a few of you had said hello & welcome in a genuine fashion. which is more than i got. what did he get banned for, did you delete the offending posts? i cant find anything that would call for a banning. ..well you'd think wouldnt you? at least on TF humour is present in great amounts. i imagine most of the members on here looking like they're chewing a wasp while they peruse the board...

No, we laugh and joke with each other. What people don't like are people barging in with an arrogant air and loftily rubbishing their training with generalisations and ingrained dogma about how all karateka or even TMA practitioners train. You think you are showing confidence. I think the general agreement would be arrogance. Your impersonator started off pleasant enough so he got welcomed. I'm not going to go into why he got banned, but suffice to say he did, and yet you are still here. I genuinely believe from some of your posts that you may have a lot to share, which is great. How you choose to go about it, and your obvious contempt, is what is causing bad feeling.

at least on TF humour is present in great amounts. i imagine most of the members on here looking like they're chewing a wasp while they peruse the board... That kind of sums you up for me. You've joined the board with a pre-conceived idea of what everyone here is like, and it screams out of every post you make, whether you realise it or not. I presume you mean the forum formerly known as TF. I don't think any serious MA person would waste five seconds looking at it, though the members do have a 'look at me' childish, attention seeking thing going on.

hmm. i'd invite you to look at the first 7 posts in my intro thread "Yo" and examine just who had preconceived ideas about who? "any serious MA person?" ..what anyone who is serious about their MA, or anyone who does MA and is basically very serious? ;D ..i take it you never saw SWS then? ..some extremely good MAs love a laugh and a joke. ...the other type of "serious ones" though sometimes even go as far as to start developing a wierd "japanese" (or korean actually) way of speaking to sound more like their sensei. how ridulous. that kind of "serious" MA needs to get a life. i find people always get insecure in the presence of greatness. so did i, and i got immediately trolled. why? ok. and is that a question? aww thanks was it you that exalted me? obvious contempt? ..could you please quote a couple of instances of this so i can see where i'm going wrong? i think you're all a bit over-sensitive. ..possibly even slightly over-serious MAs.

hmm. i'd invite you to look at the first 7 posts in my intro thread "Yo" and examine just who had preconceived ideas about who? You conveniently missed out the timeline of your activity here. I saw your Anti Kata type stuff long before I saw your intro. Yes I've seen it. You mean things like scat and porn? Yup, you got us. We're all just like that. Generalise much? I know you think that. That's what I was pointing out. You don't appear to have any genuine interest in finding out about the members here, as you'd rather compartmentalise them into categories that suit your preferred style of rhetoric. Now I'm a fair guy. Lose the attitude and we can start again. You made a comment elsewhere about members here spouting nonsense about Physical Development, going on to qualify yourself as an expert. It's possible to highlight such things and make a valuable contribution to this forum based on your experience, without coming across as a know it all banker. New guy, you have a lot to learn.

Steelwire1 you crack me up ;D Andy i dont really know what attitude you mean. but i'm happy to start again if you can instruct the other members to all stop trolling me? in fact it's mainly the MODS on reflection. i'm glad you've seen SWS, so you'll know most of them are semi or pro fighters, are very serious about their training on there and clearly they aren't the over-serious types. & yet again, i'm not generalising, i said "sometimes, even going as far as to..." my kyokushin sensei was starting to do that 20 odd years ago, and i've met 3 since then who also do it. but i didnt say you or any of your circle or contacts do that, only you would know that. but you (or those on KR collectively i have communicated with) do seem to take unnecessary personal offence to every remark making it look as though as though it's hit a nerve or something. now in the spirit of starting again can you please (collectively) exhibit a bit more humour or i'm going to have to reconsider my stay here on KR? in return i will pass no more comment whatsoever on the validity or not of any part of your MAs. peace.

Andy i dont really know what attitude you mean. You should do. I like to post on a forum with a relative surety that everyone is who they purport themselves to be. You made it clear that you are a member of a forum that is synonymous with some of the the most negative and destructive kiddies ever to grace an MA forum, of which, many of whom have trolled here. Not only that, but you say/claim, that you have been imped by one of them here, but now we're supposed to accept you for who you say you are, despite the negative, condescending close minded posts you have made. Take a walk in our shoes for a moment. It's not my place to suggest how other members should relate to you. Only you can govern their reactions. I dare say, but I look at MA forums as a way of finding out about other people and their arts. If you want to prove something, then that's best done mano et mano. No. It hits the snooze button Posts or themes that have been seen countless times before bore the hell out of everyone.. Now didn't someone on SWS famously get quoted as saying 'Trolling forums is sooo 1992" Lots of good people on here. Loosen your collar. All due respect, but you don't know what my art is, so you can't comment. I on the other hand have a great deal of respect for MT and SPM. So you're the real Kevin Grant?
