I have uploaded the first kata on Karate Resource. (Kihon Kata in slow motion). To see it go to www.karateresource.com/kata/kihon.htm and click on the link. Please let me know what you think about quality, downloading time (especially for those with dial up) etc. All constructive feedback gratefully received. If I get the thumbs up on this I can go ahead and edit Kihon Kata done with full speed and power, Heian Shodan both slow and fast, and some bunkai for the moves in it!

Yes I agree, it looks good.
If one can be allowed to inject some critisizm, I think you could have been a little closer to the kata performing person, but only a little.
Other videos have lines on the floor as well, just the odd gridline can sometimes be of assistance to the viewing person, just adds that bit of clarity. I dunno, you can certainly do without though so it was only a thought.
I'm certainly looking forward to seeing some more, and the bunkai stuff so keep going (or else).

Thanks These work fine on my home computer but they don't seem to be working on my work computer. I don't know if this is because of problems with the format, problems with my work computer or temporary problems with the server. Can anyone else view them ok? I think I may need to use another format. Excuse me while I tear out all my hair!

Ah cr*p! Having spoken to various friends this seems to be a universal problem. It seems like something didn't like our applications and cut us short, lol. Still look at the impressive bowing. (Application for bowing??) Hmm that took me all evening. I guess I'll have to try and reload them tonight or something, as the kata ones all seem ok.

Works for some people not for others. Does seem to work if you right click, save the target and then run it from your own computer.

I like these videos, and being hardcore, like I am, I saved them to computer so that I could watch them more than once.
Are there any more in the pipeline please?

As it happens I will be taking my video recorder tomorrow and hoping to do heian nidan and heian sandan with some more applications. I'll need a week or two to edit them and then we are away. ;D
Glad to hear people are liking them.

Angela, even though I'm new here,
just some short constructive criticism on the bunkai videos. Since you execute the bunkai full speed it's sometimes a little hard to see what you are doing exactly. Maybe you can first show the sequence full speed and then do it again more slowly? Probably also vary the camera angle where necessary? If they are getting too big maybe edit out the bowing and get right into the app.
Apart from that I like the bunkai videos. And the app where you turn the Heian Shodan Age Uke into a headlock was a new one to me. Interesting.
