Just a reminder (cause I forgot) that this years Seni show is on this weekend. I'll be going on the Saturday, anyone else going? www.senishow.com

I already replied to this thread (yesterday) but my post seems to have disappeared into the ether. I went to SENI (on Sunday) but I didn't get to train in any of the seminars because I accidentally sliced my hand open on Saturday putting a rabbit hutch and run together (I inherited 2 bunnies from a mate who is moving abroad and the hutch & run were too big to go in my car so they had to be dismantled and rebuilt). I would have liked to have done the Iain Abernethy seminar, John Burkes' workshop on Bassai and the TKD board breaking workshop as well but in the end I couldn't do any (bit tricky to do kata application with a duff hand). Aside from that, the show was great and I spent waaaaay too much money on MA books and DVDs. ;D

I went on Saturday, and had a good couple of hours wandering round.
I would have wished to stay a big longer but I had to get back as my sister was looking after my youngest son.
I went with my wife and eldest son and they both enjoyed the event, it was really funny watching my sons face when he met Shihan Chris Rowen, he was in total awe, especially after seeing Shihan perform Sanchin.

I went to sensei John's workshop and also stayed on to do Terry Wingrove's workshop. It's the first year I've actually participated in something, rather than just wandering around, and i was good to have something tangible to break up the long day (we were there pretty much from opening to closing). I was gutted I missed getting Danny John Jules' autograph, but everytime I went to his stall there was just a load of kids on there. I have two nice bruises on my upper arm from TW's workshop. It was good fun and a great (if painful) experience, although I found that they were all quite slow on the tap.
I bought a 5'5" bo staff, and some little focus mitts for the juniors. I couldn't justify buying any more as I recently bought a 19" TFT monitor and a PDA/SatNav system.

Damn we should have met up! We should! If I'd known earlier which day my friends wanted to go on then I'd have tried to arrange a meet-up. Angela, I *think* I saw you on Sunday afternoon - I was trying to fight my way through the crowds with a tray of coffees (for aforementioned mates who decided to stand and gawp at that 'Judgement Day' thing instead of fetching their own drinks ) and was by the seminar/workshop rooms at the back. It was about 2-ish. I missed not being able to train - I did a couple of seminars last year and loved it. The ones this year looked very good. I'm still not properly able to train - the cut on my hand has gone a bit manky and I had to go to the docs for a tetanus shot.
