Title - Hakutsuru Kata By - Gary Rooks , 7th Dan Bought Via - Kyusho International Website
Background Gary Rooks is a 7th degree black belt in George A. Dillman's pressure point fighting system. His style of Ryukyu Kempo focuses on the white crane kata of Okinawan Karate that were derived from the various forms of white crane kungfu (jumping crane, shouting crane, whooping crane etc) and he has done extensive research into elemental sound projection and colour visualisation over the last 10 years.
The Video Shows both the male and female versions of the Hakutsuru (white crane) Kata. The kata are shown from front & back angles and are easy to learn from the tape. The tape also gives at least 1 bunkai for each move of each kata. TYhe end of the tape sees Rooks explain a little about elemental sound projection and demonstrate bunkai making use of this which has to ben seen to be believed.
The tape is worth having, if only to learn the kata. The bunkai are workable if perhaps a little static. But it is the elemental sound projection that is the real jewel in the crown - although I feel that other tapes in Mr Rooks' collection will be more "in depth" and provide better information on this aspect.#

I thought I posted this, but I guess maybe I never got around to hitting the post button.
Anyway, I live 4 hours from Cincinatti, OH. I will be contacting Mr. Rooks soon to get more information on his elemental sound projection techniques. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
