So what do you plan to achieve in 2006? I would like to increase my fitness and core strength, and really try to make a substantial improvement within my karate (not sure quite how I'll judge that one). I'd like to try and be more tolerant and try and decrease any negative emotions. I'd like to make an effort to visit friends and family a bit more (or they could just join my karate club, it's easier ;D) I'd also like to stop biting my damn nails. Disgusting and yet ever enduring habit

Man if you do that early on in the year the rest of your year is gonna be kind of empty.
I think I'm going to be sweating out chocolate for the first few weeks of January. :-\

To work on my dammned ushiro mawashi geri. S***e really is the only word for it... I'd also like to learn to play another musical instrument and also to get more motivated about DIY. I've been planning to do my house up ever since I moved into it (6 years ago). I'm also going to try and be more tolerant of stupidity, whilst attempting not to display any myself. I'd also like to give up chocolate but that ain't never gonna happen...

Oh, and I'd like the Sheffield Steelers to work on the following items too: passing, puck possession, speed and defence.
Oh, and fighting. There's not been any good scrapping at matches for a while now. Get your act together lads!! ;D

To work on my dammned ushiro mawashi geri. This must also be one of my main resolutions! almost every time I practice this kick I always seem to pull part of my hamstring. Others are pretty much what everyone else has said, improve my fitness and core strength, spend more time with friends and family etc. And I must figure out what to give my wife for our 20th anniversary in June otherwise I don't think I'll make even half way through the year!

What things does your wife like? That would be a good place to start.
Maybe you could get her one of these "experience" packs that they sell in places like W H Smith or Boots - a day at a health spa or concert tickets. Heck, she might want one of the 'ride in a hot air balloon' ones or the 'drive a rally car' - I know I would!! ;D
