OK I recovered my new PC after the New Year mega-crash, and I've just had to activate my Windows but now my 5.1 surroundsound speakers seem to have cut down to the standard 2. I knew the top one had stopped working due to me dropping it *sigh*, but can anyone think why my computer is doing that?

I have a computer question too. Up until last night my system was working perfectly (well.... it was as good as it ever gets). I ran AdAware as I usually do once a week and AGV virus scanner as normal. AGV found a virus, but I dealt with it. However, since then I seem to have another virus or bug or something, as whenever I initially open up the web browser it bring up the following address: C:/secure32.html instead of my usual home page. Even when I use Internet Options to reset the home page to my usual site, it brings up C:/secure32.html every time. It is a blue screen with a link to click on for "internet security services" (No, I haven't followed the link I'm not that daft ). Anyone got any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem? Ta!

Sounds like a spyware thing. I'd recommend you get Spybot: Search and Destroy (which is free) and run it.

not always the best thing to do but if you are as wild and care free as you you may want to just delete the file and see what happens, maybe then you can figure out what is trying access it

Ta! I will give that a go. Once you've done that google for a program called Hijack This, and run that. If you still have the same problem come back to me, as system32 is where your system registry is - you may need to remove a registry file, but probably best not to do that unless you have to, and always best to research if it's an important file first.

I've worked out that my particular problem, including the crashing is all down to the fact that Windows does not support my soundcard. Great!

Rachael. I've jsut googled and came up with this: Question: My computer got infected with Spysheriff and I was able to remove it. But it still shows a blue background and the bogus warning as the background - which is set up in file c:secure32.html. When I delete the file, it comes back. Where does this Secure32.html come from? Answer: The file secure32.html is generated by a program called Paytime.exe. Paytime.exe is located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\paytime.exe How to solve this problem: Bring up your taskmanager by pressing Control + Alt + Delete, in some Windows versions select the 'Processes' tab. Then click on 'Paytime.exe' and end the task. Delete paytime.exe, which you should find under c:WindowsSystem32 Delete c:secure32.html Run Explorer. It will tell you that it cannot find the path for secure32.html. Use the default configuration of Explorer and everything will be OK. Or there's this here: www.webuser.co.uk/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/250263/an/0/page/0
