If you had the golden opportunity to train with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?
Have you ever been lucky enough to fulfill your dream?

One of the people I've wanted to train with and have had the privelage of being able to is Sensei Ticky Donovan. That man is a genius - if you ever get the chance to train with him then grab it!
I suppose I'd like to train with those who were around at the start/birth of Shotokan in Japan, such as Funakoshi Sensei and his senior students. I'd also like to train with Funakoshi's instructors.
Apart from that, I dunno. I'll train with just about anyone!
(on a side note, another good person to train with is Dave Hazard, who is based in Nottingham these days. Top quality Sensei and top quality instruction.)

My partner for all these years and our female instructor. I'm quite picky with my partners after almost having by wrist broken because an ugly throw and nose busted by an idiot who wanted to see how it would feel to hit my "smeller", although he was supposed to do a gyaku chudan. After these incidents I'm attentive with chosing partners. I respect my peer and take care of them and make sure I don't get injured because I've put my trust into an idiot. So ... I don't need legends to train with I need respectful and careful partners I can help and can be helped by

I know he is a fictional charachter but I'd like to partner with Morpheus Failing that, I recently got the opportunity to train with a man that I have been desperate to meet since last year. I had a knee operation and I was not able to attend a course hosted by Pascal LeCourt from France but what got me through the whole recovery process was his web site and the chance tio finally train with him this year. Great stuff.

I've been very fortunate to have trained with some excellent karateka over the last 15 years.
1. Oyata, Seiyu 2. Chinen, Teruo 3. Dave McNeill (My present teacher and mentor) 4. Mike Wall 5. Rick Moneymaker and Tom Muncy of the Dragon Society International 6. Ray Fisher
To name a few. If I could train with anyone dead or alive? Hmm, I'd have to say that I would love to train with Matsumura, Sokon and Soken, hohan. I would also like to train with Liu Liukung and/ or Kusanku to get a better idea of how the Okinawan arts developed from these Chinese masters.
