Kicking slow can help teach you balance and control and the correct technique for kicking, but does it train you to always kick slow? Kicking fast, you may lose the control and balance and just snap the kick back. Kicking powerful may have other pros and cons.... how do we marry the lot together?
Also how do people train the position of the foot and the drawing back of the toes? I practice against punch bags and walls (no wonder my neighbours think I am mad! ;D), nice slow and control, but am I then giving myself another bad set of habits by drilling the habit of being a slow kicker?
