When i first started karate i was susceptible at certain points pressure points and not susceptible to certain other pressure points, as time has gone on and i have continued my training, the points that showed little or no reaction are now reacting to pressure point manipulation.
why is this happenning?
could this be because i have physically changed and become leaner and fitter? (ie exposing points more) or could it be because of the amount of pressure point partner training that i do? do points lose resistance? or could it be something else?
has anyone else had any similar experiences?

Yes, I have. When I first started my kyusho training I was very much a "non responder" and was once called "f*&^*n brain dead" by one American 8th Dan who had failed to KO me with a knuckle strike to GB20 on both sides at once. However, as I've got older and no doubt been hit more there are certain points to which I now respond quite nicely thank you - I'm not telling you which ones ;D The point about you getting fitter and losing fat is also a valid contributing factor - fat is a very effective (if somewhat unhealthy) barrier and as you lose fat & gain muscle the nerves become more exposed as increased muscle definition lifts the muscle away somewhat. Of course, it could just be that your partners are getting more accurate

This sometimes worries me too, as I also seem to have become a bit more reactive to some points. I don't want to do any permanent damage for the sake of my training, nor do I want to make it easier for other people to attack me. This is why I am currently asking questions on the alternate therapies such as acupuncture and reiki, because I feel if I spend time destructing the meridians then I should also spend time constructing them.
On the other hand there are also a couple of points that I have become more resistant to.. and I have been doing some experimentation with trying to block some of the affects - with varied success.

Is age a contributory factor in being sucseptible or resistant to PP's?

After training on Friday night I had an odd experience, along with another guy who had also trained. We both went out for a drink afterwards with our mates, and because we had been training time was fairly limited. So neither of us had much to drink. However both of us felt extremely drunk within a short amount of time. At one point we went back to a mate's house, I had stopped drinking because I felt so intoxicated but I was still becoming more and more drunk. I could myself starting to sway and slur my words and ended up having to sit on the settee. I wasn't sure whether this was due to the fact that we had been playing with PPs before, which had lowered my tolerance to drink - or if just the hard work in the session had meant I was dehydrated and therefore the drink had more affect. My training partner reported exactly the same symptons!
Odd!

I have this weird thing where lately everytime that I work with pressure points on someone they end up having stomach upset and spending a lot of time on the stool ( 8 different people over a month span ). This is strange because other than large intestine 5 and small intestine 5 I'm not aware that I'm hitting any points having to do with the digestion. This is happening even after rubbing up the arms against the direction of the energy flow and then rubbing up the back to send more energy into the affected area.
Any ideas?

Yeah some do cause nausea or bad tummies (LI 10 & 11 for example). Earl Montagiue explains some of the effects quite well in his Encyclopedia of Dim Mak.

Yeah, I've got both parts to his encyclopedia as well as some other texts from the Dragon Society and Marc Tedeschi. I was thinking and talked to my instructor about this. I was using GB20 and GB32 as well as some stomach points. That would explain it. Also, I finally realized I was doing some of the restoration massage techniques using the wrong direction. So, in essence I was as F'd up as a football bat (or a soup sandwich, your choice.). After my chat, my restoration is working much much better.
