Somewhere biiiiiig without a hard, slippery floor. I'd also like it to be cool in the summer and warmer in the winter, without creaking boards or nails that rise up at the joins between boards and stab you in the toes. I'd also like it to have a non-leaking roof and have proper changing rooms with showers. i.e. the opposite of where I train now. ;D Actually, I'll train anywhere. It's nice to have a huge dojo with plenty of room to move and have lots of shiny new equipment in it, but anywhere can be a dojo. It's the attitude and effort that counts. I like where I train. It may be uncomfortably hot in summer and freeze you to death in winter and it also may be about the size of a broom cupboard, but it's my home. It's the first place I ever trained karate in and it's seen many many hours of blood, sweat and tears from all of us. Still, a decent floor surface wouldn't go amiss...

We train on a solid wooden floor. Good for those 'on your knuckles' press=ups!

Naturally, I'll go for the 'broken glass' option... I like the solid wood floor that we have at my dojo, I just wish that it wasn't so slippery. Sensei keeps saying he's gonna sort it out.... but he's been saying that for ages and nowts got done yet. So, pigs will probably first!! lol I also quite like jugsaw mats, as they don't tend to move about when you train on them However, some sorts can be slippery to train on. it depends on the make and the quality of them.
