Go see it, make your own mind up. It is a very funny film, it does differ somewhat from the book, but the revisions were written by Douglas adams before he died, (obviously !). It is a good film, I went with my wife, and my 10 year old son, we all enjoyed it. We can't stop singing 'so long and thanks for all the fish'

To be honest I thought it was "ok", until the ending. The ending... oh my, the ending *shakes head*. Apart from that there were too many places where the actors looked like they were reading straight off the script. However the trailer for teh new Star Wars film looked pretty good.

The film was OK but I prefer the books and the old TV series. However, Marvin had some good lines in there and I thought that Stephen Fry was a good chice for narrator. Yeah, the ending could've been better, but it was alright. Not bad, not great.
"So long and thanks for all the fish" is a top quality song, though. Can't get it out of my head. it's replaced "Is this the way to Amarillo" as my current song "earworm"...
