Do you keep a journal/notebook about your MA training?
I used to when I first started training, but I haven't actually written much in it lately, which is a bad habit to have gotten in to. Keeping a journal was something I found really useful as a beginner. It's also one of the things that Sensei tells new starters at my club to do, as it is a good way to remember and reflect on what you've done in that lesson.
I really will have to start writing in mine a lot more than I have been doing.

I have never really been in keeping journals, although there may come a time when it would be good to be able to look back and say ‘did I really do that’.
I suppose the technology that is available now would make it easier to keep a video journal, and then you can actually compare the physicality of then and now.
Having said that…isn’t this a type of journal, full of thoughts, ideas, opinions, even sharing a little of our own stories.

No, I've never kept a journal...and to be honest it's the first time I've heard of it!

I don't keep a journal but I have been posting on fora for a while as well as writing the occasional attempt at an article. For me it is interesting to see where I've been and where I've changed opinions as I've learnt more. Mick

Yep, I do. Although it has been over a month since I've put anything in it...

I'm now making the effort to try and write in it every time I train, even if it just one or two lines.

I once tried keeping a journal, but it only lasted about a month but I believe it’s a very useful way of documenting not only your techniques but also your thoughts and feelings at the time.
