Who's training over Christmas?
Anyone going "cold turkey" (no pun intended - honest!! ;D) and doing without martial arts over the holidays?
We're having a "do up the dojo" time in the week between Christmas and New Year. We're redecorating, smartening up the changing rooms, putting stretching bars on the walls (like a bar in a ballet studio), as well as painting some kanji and the Shotokan Tiger on the dojo wall. We're also getting some new flooring - woot! No more "ice rink" wooden boards. Yay!

I'll be going cold turkey! My instructor finishes on the 21st and we're not back until the 4th Jan.

We have a break over Christmas, but I'm sure that I can find somewhere, and someone, willing to do some training with me anyway.

Ah the mere thought of smacking someone in the gob fills me with excitement, the mere suggestion of time to do it….bliss…role on the new year.

I tend to be much harder on family and friends than I am with regular students.

I found out last night that there are no clubs (out of 7 that I could attend in my area) that are open!
I will have to wait an entire week and 1 day before I can train at a club!!!!

Well, if you've got a paintbrush handy then feel free to pop up to South Yorkshire. You can help us paint the dojo and then we'll have a training session! Might make it a bit more interesting if people have to avoid the paint cans on the floor and the wet paint on the walls and the tools lying around and... ;D
