Space for the punch bags. Real wood floors for a bit of give during throws and jumps. Nearby gyms. Nearby pubs for practical experience. House sold, temporarily with an impressively large bank balance what should I be looking for in potential dwellings?

Hey brother, Come on to Oklahoma. I have a huge Lakota Tipi on my land here, that I camp in on the weekends. I actually lived in it full time for 18 months in 2002/2003. A true learning experience . Loads of fun! The beer store is just 3 miles from there. And the front yard at the Tipi is the perfect out door Dojo. : ;D. Hey? may I post pics on this sight? Tomahawk.

Seriously, I think you need a garden. One that you can sit down in and have a nice cup of tea.

Yes, as is flooring. I'd suggest trying to go for something with a bit of a garden so that you can practise outside if the weather is (ha!) nice. Where abouts do you want to move to?

Avoid lots of trees, a friend of mine can't have sky tv because his neighbours trees interferer with it.

Here's a different spin, where would be the ideal place to live?

I live on a huge hill, that sucks when walking back from the pub!
Avoid old neighbours too, they go nutty and insist on constantly telling you their age, and being nice to you one minute and making formal complaints the next!

Here's a different spin, where would be the ideal place to live? If I had loads of money I would live in the German Alps, in a huge log cabin, surrounded by lots of pine trees and by a mountainside lake.

Avoid neighbours, unless you need a cup of sugar.
Old people smell funny too, and each Werthers(sp) Originals while stroking young boys heads. (Never been comfortable with that add).

Seriously, I think you need a garden. One that you can sit down in and have a nice cup of tea. But gardens imply <shudder> gardening. Would you need planning permission to concrete over a garden and put up a huge patio cover?
