As there are several people on here who hold grades in martial arts other than karate then I thought it might be good to have a 'round up' of the arts people have trained in and their grades (if you wish to post them!) As well as my grades in karate I also hold the following: Aikido (5th kyu) (no longer actively training, due to lack of club in my area) WTF TKD (4th kup) Wing Chun ('yellow sash' - no real official grading, just a way for Sifu to sort out the students into approximate skill levels. It's the 2nd colour out of 5) Judo (unofficial 9th kyu) (trained a little with my brother (2nd dan) who put me through a 9th kyu 'grading'. That was many years ago, before he moved out of the area) Weapons training - a mix of okinawan kobudo, chinese weapons and haedong gumdo (no official grade) I also have an honorary ITF TKD 1st Degree grade (but I don't like to talk about it )

Surely a Yondan could deal with a bus...or has it just been lies...all lies

I got a 1st degree in ITF TKD. However, I don't train in traditional martial arts anymore and don't grade now. I occasionally go back to a good TKD school to work on some kicking drills, but that's about it.

I am a honorary Hon-Do-Ryu Shodan. I have helped them a lot promote the new style in the last 3 years so I have got this honorary rank.
In my normal Shotokan life I am a 5th kyu (blue belt)
